Tucked off the intersection of Corkscrew Rd and S Tamiami Trail is the largest community park in all of lee county, Estero Community Park. With two off leash dog parks, an 18 hole disc golf course, a rec center, playgrounds, basketball courts, a soccer field, volleyball courts and tons of open space to enjoy, the enormous size is the tip of the iceberg as far as what this park has to offer. The park has a hill that provides 360 views of the phenomenal Florida sunsets and sunrises. The 50+ acres, the park offers enough space for any type of event or party. The pavilions are available for rent through leegov.com for formal events. Though the park is not very visible from the outside, it is very easy to find. If you are coming from I-75 hop off exit 123 and you are almost there, you will not be disappointed!
Estero River Outfitters is a family owned and operated river outfitter in Estero Florida. They are open every day from 7:00am - 6:00pm and make your experience on the river as simple and relaxing as possible. When you arrive you will pay for your rental and they will provide you with a ticket, you can rent a kayak, canoe, or a stand up paddleboard. They will load you into the water and assist with all of the heavy lifting. They also sell gear inside including kayaks, coolers, sun glasses, sun screen, and just about anything else you would want for a day on the river. Though most people tell you to head right when you get on the water, for a more shaded and scenic route, you can head left. You may see all kinds of wild life on the river like a manatee or even a gator! There is nothing more relaxing than cruising down the river with some good company.
